Six nations Punch Up called rugby
It is wet and miserable; we have had more rain than we know what to do with over night. There are large puddles even on my wet weather walk. She insists on showing me up by exercising her inner child, who it would appear loves splashing and paddling in puddles, as I have told you before. However my horizon is sunny it is Friday again.
Tomorrow something called the six nations starts…! Rugby I love rugby. We sit on the sofa, if we are left in peace by her, and watch the game on the oblong box. We will eat a large bowl full of popcorn (I love popcorn) and he will shout at the oblong box at frequent intervals and drink quantities of a fizzy amber liquid.
Rugby is a game of some repute, an organised punch up she says. He says ‘Rugby is a hooligan’s game played by gentlemen, whereas football is a gentleman’s game played by hooligans (and two timing philanderers). She does not understand its identity at all. Even though she has spent much time on touch lines watching her persons play. Each of the 15 players has a specialized skill and position. Due to the nature of the game you understand, there can be a few replacements. Players are called by interesting odd names such as: prop; hooker; locks; flankers and number eights etc. It is all quite fascinating. Then we get to the important bit, they play with a funny shaped ball. Not round but oval. One like this, lurks in the garage unloved and uncared for. It is flat with no shape really. Only I, a connoisseur of balls would understand its value. Those that once played rugby; are all armchair supporters now, although strangely they often complain of sore heads after watching. Have a lovely weekend.

Good news from Vegas – BBC America are showing the six nations. I am slightly concerned that I do not have the proper attire to watch, but the dear ones assure me they are working on that. Then it is Superbowl Sunday which I am also looking forward to. Just need to work on the differences between the 2 games…… Love the accomplice xxxx
