How to be a Healthy University graduate.

Today looks a better day, we have frost and the ground will be hard. We may even manage to make it around to our usual haunts if she is quick, writes this post and bolts her porridge. Otherwise we will be unable to negotiate the sea of mud that once was our lovely fields.

Saturday’s Telegraph article by Matthew Morre has so incensed us, that we are today having another go. In fact, if it were not for important events happening at the weekend which I require to talk about, there is a good week’s copy here. Apparently ‘Cats require less time per day than a dog, so they are more popular with educated people who work late and commute.’ This is an enlightening picture for sure of the imagined graduate cat owners. Long hours, high stress; less exercise, high stress; less companionship, high stress. I will tell you about my university graduates, both receive an abundance of fresh air, intelligent and loyal companionship, they are exercised frequently, and one of them is loved to distraction. (Being loved by somebody is possibly the most important emotion in this world.) My graduates are as healthy as I can make them. Although I am not sure about the money side, the article said there was little difference in the variables in the income range. I may not do so well here, as you know I can run up a fine vet’s bill and there is some other trifling amounts here and there on occasion…! Still as you can see I am well worth the cash.

One more thing on this article, cats are elitist and discriminatory, one never owns a cat, a cat will only stay with you if it is comfortable, if you suit it. They are solitary predators, selfish creatures with an air of grandeur. Dogs stay no matter what. Dogs are pack animals and their loyalty is always with the pack. A far better option for a companion I would think. Be a healthy university graduate live with an intelligent, friend, companion, a dog

I am as always
