Loose Women and Alistair Campbell

Not sure about today, it looks cold out there from my ledge at the window. She is in trouble with him, so the day has started well. At least we have sunshine, which of course makes a great difference to our morning walk. We made it home yesterday afternoon before a sleet shower, (sleet and hail is there a difference?) are my least favourite forms of weather.

I have had several comments in defence of our feline friends, but have still to be convinced that living in close proximity to these creatures is a good policy. Most felines I have met are extremely tricksy. They also have a strong right hook with sharp and pointy claws, attached, which scream don’t mess with me. They are certainly not to be trusted to come within reach of this superior cocker spaniel’s nose. Matthew Moore’s article (yes we can’t get it off the collective mind) says that cats did worse than dogs at a simple reasoning task. Apparently cats in this study, ‘presented with two pieces of string, only one attached to a food reward, could not tell which one to pull for their treat.’ This is rubbish any dog will tell you, that, if you want a cat to do anything you might just as well whistle in the wind, food or no food; they will do exactly what they want to, there is no scientificing them. You can’t bribe a cat with anything unless it wants to be bribed. They are a law unto themselves, totally. This is why you are better off with a dog; we can be bribed.

Talking about bribery how much would it cost to bribe the producers of Loose Women not to do another party political broadcast in favour of New Labour ever again? I have had earache from her ever since, and, so did he as soon as he came in, about yesterday’s programme’ she actually switched it OFF. Apparently Kate Thornton and Lesley Garret fawning all over Alistair Campbell was enough to put, this floating voter off her lunch. A balanced debate is acceptable, but the ‘Gordon Brown is a nice man and should be given a chance and everyone who doesn’t agree shut up’ is not balanced or even well informed. However, it did manage the rare achievement of reducing Colleen Nolan and Jane Macdonald to silence. Please Loose Women producers have mercy, on this cocker spaniel, No More. By the way it is snowing/sleeting again.

I am as usual
